DiamondTome Skin Resurfacing

The DiamondTome Skin Resurfacing System for skin care is a particular type of microdermabrasion. During your treatment, the top-most layer of skin (epidermis) is exfoliated and removed. This top layer of skin is primarily dead skin cells, so in removing them, the body naturally responds by producing a new layer of skin and collagen. Over time, this leads to more youthful appearing skin. The DiamondTome system is non-ablative, meaning there is minimal downtime, if any.
This DiamondTome style of microdermabrasion is appropriate for both men and women. It is particularly effective in removing unwanted pigment (which can oftentimes be among the top layers of skin), reduce acne and superficial skin, and rejuvenate skin that may have become damaged in the sun. Photofacials

In Vancouver, Photofacial treatment is referred to by different names, including fotofacials, intense pulsed light (IPL), and FotoFacial RF, the last of which uses the elos system developed by Syneron. Intense pulsed light is not a laser, it’s a light-based therapy that can penetrate deep into the skin without harming the surface of the skin. As such, there is minimal downtime.
IPL and other photofacial techniques are great for remedying problem skin. They can be used to treat visible skin damage from the sun and other extreme weather exposure, as well as address the appearance of rosacea, redness, flushing, spider veins, premature wrinkling, enlarged pores, and uneven skin tone. Chemical Peels

A chemical peel has the same fundamental goal as microdermabrasion, but is a more traditional skin rejuvenation treatment done in an entirely different way. A chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes the top-most layer of dead skin cells to slough off and eventually peel off from the surface of the skin.

The body reacts naturally to produce a new layer of skin and this regenerative layer is typically smoother, less wrinkled, and more uniform in tone than the layer that is replaces. This helps to improve the overall texture of the skin, as well as remove imperfections and blemishes that may have existed previously on the surface of the skin.
For these reasons, in Vancouver, chemical peels are typically applied in circumstances that involve hyper-pigmentation, acne scarring, sun damage, severe acne, oily skin, fine lines, and discolored skin. Many different types of chemical peels are used, and these can vary based on the needs of the particular client. Alpha hydroxy acid peels are stronger, but beta hydroxy acid peels have a greater ability to deeper into the pores.
